was a young poem writing stay-at-home Currently
involved with Chinese restaurant syndrome He
hoped the whole issue could be as a clear as a gong But all
food he consumed, related to Wong after Wong His
iPad was covered in gooey chicken chow-mien A well-known
staple of each oriental food chain His
date, Mary-Jane thought it not but a shell game And
toward flied-lice, she chop-sticked their aim Yet, for
weeks they wandered both day and night Trying
to get poetic wording, flowing just right Peppermint
Brandy got them occasionally tight Carried
in a suitcase, neath a full moon and starlight Finally
coming to the realization life itself was a poem Both
welcomed words that flowed like its clone And mongst
sweet fragrance of flowered, drifting scent They
poeticized being’s magic, in syndrome free contentment © 2023 Dave Brown |
