a while back I saw the very disturbing way cattle are slaughtered.
Really upset me!
we tried going without meat after that but, very difficult
Because we live in a more or less fishing community, we have since gone to chicken (altho' I very much doubt they appreciate that) and fishies, usually Cod or Sole, 'bottom feeders', LOL.
I don't really like the taste of salmon and I think trout are much too attractive to kill, and like you, whichever going with chips and coleslaw.

Yes, the life of a Salmon is not much.
Apparently "they" have found traces of Salmon DNA, miles away, where the bear have gone wandering after their Salmon feast, leaving droppings which were then consumed by the forest's growing trees.
I am sure you already know this, I just mention it because I find it all so interesting.
