Wet

Wet

A Poem by David Broderick
"

Not a poem, a song, so sorry that it doesn't read well. Written a while ago about a wet school bag - or, if you prefer, a soggy satchel.

"

I would leave it up to karma

But then again,

you don’t think

like I think

When friend means

Something else to you,

I can’t help feel

Betrayed.

Friend,

Why aren’t you here,

By my side?

Friend,

You betrayed me

It makes a world of difference

I don’t know him

We have an unnatural bind

In my eyes

And you broke me

i was a bit worried by the title - but it's o.k now. the bag thing's genius - it sounds like you can apply it to humans too. = )
