My self assured sense of hopeA Poem by David BroderickAnother song. I apologise once more for the fact it doesn't read well as a poem. Enjoy.
My self assured, sense of hope You prop the stool, I tie the rope
I used to be airtight, Couldn’t break the bind, We used to be alright, But I always seem to find, Complications
Why?
I’m naked, I’m naked And shaking with fear - A fear I’ve never felt before
But if god is on my side, Who can stand against me? Evidently You
My self assured, sense of hope You prop the stool, I tie the rope
I’m better off blind Because you’re still beautiful Better off dumb Because it might slip my tongue Your beautiful, so beautiful Always, so beautiful © 2008 David BroderickReviews
