Fall Planting

Fall Planting

A Poem by David Benson
"

Palindrome poem. Fun, though difficult to write. This is one of two that I'll post in order to submit to the Palindrome Contest.

"
Inverted man, lies still:

unseeded mother cries
till fields yellow,
days grown long
sigh, trees groaning

under nut weight,

groaning trees sigh,
long grown days:
"Yellow fields, till!"
cries mother, unseeded.

Still lies, man inverted.

Now this is a form I have attempted but never mastered. You make it look so easy.

a great palindrome! they are tricky little things as it's pretty hard to make it flow naturally without it being more weighted one way or the other!! you've definitely overcome that for the most part here! very well constructed!! nice!!

This is just brilliant. I can't imagine being limited by the confines of the exercise for this poem. The way you wrote this is just simply amazing. It must have took a lot of thought to do this kind of poem. Your an excellent writer.

Now this is cool! I have to admit I am new to poetry, so I tend to get excited when I get introduced to a new form. And this is one I am sure to try. A Palindrome Poem! Thank you for sharing this David!

Great Write!

Tommy
