The next season of beauty

The next season of beauty

A Poem by David O Whalen (O Haolin in Celtic)
"

Ode to Spring

"
Winter was beautiful…when it newly came
As are lil’ kids and big eyed kittens

All pristine, e’en with it’s same old name
A time of coats, scarves, and mittens

But like lil’ kids  and big eyed kittens
Like all things… that with time change

Things once we adored, we’re no longer quite so smitten
And beauty wears thin, begins to look strange

Kids get gangly, cats do too
Dirty Snow piles up in the parking lot

Still love kids!…as for cats?…well, a few
But am I still in love with winter?…No I’m not!!!

Yep, Winter was beautiful …at it’s start.
But I’ll tell you one unchanging thing

And this comes from a wise, wizened  heart
There’s naught quite so beautiful…as Spring!!!
