Fly Away

Fly Away

A Poem by David O Whalen (O Haolin in Celtic)
"

Parting is such sweet sorrow no matter who it is that leaves. (usually)

"
Feel your heart
Take leave of it’s body
And with your soul
To ne’er rest again

Watch your pride
And your passion
That you labored long
To fashion

fly away…fly away
with the wind

Watch the curls
Bounce and sway
As your heart runs away
While down your cheek
a tear sears it’s way
…To your chin…

Your heart glances back
Grins and waves
as the car door closes
And your vision starts to dim,
Blurred with tears and fear
As your heart and soul…clambers in

Fly away…fly away
With the wind

A heart cannot be contained
Nor a soul be held within
each season must have sun and rain
It’s own fortunes to begin

So away with you
My heart and soul
May Angels guide your way
A part of you will remain within

 Fly away…fly away
…With the wind…
