Disconnection

Disconnection

A Poem by David O Whalen (O Haolin in Celtic)
"

A poem about waking up, feeling something's just not as it should be. Something's changed.

"
It feels a bit like Autumn
…today
A change in the air
A pause
…for reflection
A stasis in the season
…no particular reason
Just somehow not like Summer
…ought to feel
Nor has the air this morning
…The smell It should
Today it’s different
…in an indescribable way
I just don’t know why
At the beginning of Summer
When all things
Are fresh and new
That I should feel I’m
In the wrong place
And time
Disjointed, disconnected
Out of touch with the seasons
It just shouldn’t be
But it just feels (to me)
like Autumn
…today…
