Truth be told

Truth be told

A Poem by David O Whalen (O Haolin in Celtic)
"

Of rumours of end of summer

"
Listen!..
Don’t just hear …
the murmurs of  the trees

Listen!…
To the whispers
Of  the butterflies and bees

They speak…
 of end of summer
They gossip of the coming Fall

They grumble ‘bout
The rigid rules
Of Mother Nature’s law

They talk of distant
Autumn tint, rumours
Of red and gold

And there’s more than just
A subtle hint, in gossip
…truth be told…
