A whole lot of nothin'

A whole lot of nothin'

A Poem by David O Whalen (O Haolin in Celtic)
"

Kind of whiney

"
A little bit of something’
Beats a whole lot of nothing’
And a whole of nothn”
Is the best I’ve got right now

A little bit of lovin’
A little something’ from the oven
A little tender touch, a little bit of huggin’
Will keep me goin’ for a good long while

A little bit of something’
That doesn’t cost a penny
Things I want and need and…
I don’t want or need many

A small  sincere pat upon my shoulder
Will put a big ol’ smile on my face
I fear I’m not gonna get very much older
A little bit of something’ will serve a whole lot of grace

All I’m askin’ is just a little bit of something’
And I’m hopin’ that you’re up to the task
Yeah, just a little bit of something’
Beats a whole lot of nothing”

And a little bit of something’
Is all I’m gonna ask
