You used to make me happy

You used to make me happy

A Poem by David Dodsworth

You used to make me happy and fill me full of joy

But now you bring me sadness like a child with a broken toy

And from the day I met you I new you’d be my wife

Now I fear I’ve wasted half my precious life

We were good together that’s what folks would say

Now I hurry out the door to keep out of your way

I am a soul tormented by a love that didn’t work

A love we had together a love that you now shirk

You show me no emotion you only bring me pain

I don’t think any other love would make me feel the same

Think back before the arguing before we had this war

Remember me, I loved you, like I’d never loved before

And as I walk away from you and finally say goodbye

With tears falling down my cheeks trying not to cry

Ask yourself this question go on give it a try

Did you ever wonder what went wrong, did you ever wonder why

I am so sad when I read this. I know how hard divorce is but it really gets hard when they come back needing you to help them until they pass away. It is unreal hard.
