Born to be angels

Born to be angels

A Poem by David Dodsworth

These children are happy they cannot be dying

Pain has been all they know how can they still smile

I hold back my tears and watch them at play

No cares or signs of sorrow do they show

Brave as they stand in the shadow of death

I question my faith as my heart bleeds for thier families

if i could give them my life I would

As theirs will soon be cut short

staring through puppy dog eyes, they fear no evil

I pray someone got it wrong, but to no avail

For they are the terminally ill and were BORN TO BE ANGELS
