No point

No point

A Poem by David Dodsworth

The love of my life has gone away, left me on my own

Rivers of tears I cry each day, I want you to come home

The pain inside me hurts so much, no longer can I bare

All the years you lied to me you didn’t even care

Why did I believe you, when you said our love would last

Now I’m lonely and feeling sad, thinking of the past

My heart cannot be mended, broke to many times

I should have read more slowly, and read between the lines

I fear that I won’t love again, the pain will never ease

The man that once stood tall and proud, you brought me to my knees

No point in me existing, without you by my side

I say goodbye to this cruel world, this is my suicide
