The lost soul

The lost soul

A Poem by David Dodsworth

I walk through the deserts of time that are never ending

lonely and void of emotion, into the shadow of the valley of death

An eternity has passed me by and my questions are still unanswered

for I am a lost soul, even the reaper passes me by

my emotions died eons ago, when lonliness was my only friend

only to be replaced by torment in my mind

I see other souls rising into the light those that don't ,are taken by the reaper

leaving me alone again, to walk this barren land

I am in limbo between two worlds and time stands still

Only God knows where the path leads to, and can answer my questions

A gateway appears before me , I enter

only to come out the other side, back at the beggining
