Remember me

Remember me

A Poem by David Dodsworth

Remember me for all I am, for all the good I do

The love I give, the pain I shared, I did it all for you

Do not forget I helped you stand, when you were on the floor

A shoulder you could cry on, when you were so unsure

I was your staff, your guiding light the guy who pulled you through

The man that you could turn to whenever you felt blue

Listening to your problems but never sharing mine

I dedicate my life to you, until the end of time

I stood by you through thick and thin, this you know is true

And even when you said goodbye, my love for you just grew

One day when it’s over and my life drawers to an end

I hope that you remember me, I was your one true friend
