Nightmare Across the Globe

This is a poem about all the wars all over the world.

You are an honored man

Walking the savage land

You carry your gun

In war, there is no fun

 

You kill what kills you

That is all there is to do

You dont give life during the day

You can only take it away

 

You must kill for your country

You must to be free

You are a soldier

You are a trooper

 

Blood runs through your veins

And runs across the city lanes

You try to run you cannot hide

Only you can turn the tide

 

As a soldier, you fight

For what you see as right

You do not die for your country

As a soldier, you just kill your enemy

 

Running through the fields of mine

You can no longer recognize time

All that there is, is the love that is gone

There is only one thing you sing

That is the song of shooting

 

Explosions across the warzone

You break a sweat just to break a bone

You shine your light ahead

until you and your men are dead

 

You fight for your nation

War is an abomonation

You march to one song only

That is the song of being free

 

The last battle has raged

Now your thirst must be caged

Like a dead tree your trigger finger must rot

People screaming is your only thought.

 

You are a Soldier

You cast your shadow

You are a trooper

You are your own nightmare...
