Boompa's Shoes

Boompa's Shoes

A Poem by Dave Azill

Boompa bought his shoes from jimmy brubaker the shoe maker,
he wore them to wed Bubbe that same year in november,
what a beautiful pair of shoes

He would wear them at honika and play his harmonica
what a wonderful pair of shoes

On my fathers bah mitzvah, iv'e still got the picture,
those fine leather soled shoes

And 60 years later when we buried poor boompa,
he took those old shoes to the grave,
his favourite pair of shoes

We miss you Boompa

Fine leather...hmm. I'm all about building up and complimenting the next phrase but that expression weakens that stanza. Just my opinion bud
