New York nights and Skibutz

New York nights and Skibutz

A Poem by Dave Azill
"

...

"
Snow falls
another night in the city
skip bip bip bop
...where does it stop ?
Go Yankees, the crowd roar

But this Jew don't roar no more
tired feet hit the floor
Coffee anyone ?
but nobody replies
cos nobody there

the shaking hands reach for another cigarette
skit skat and spark
there she goes, lit up in the park
smoke is my only friend now
cos this jew lost his flame now

The flame goes
The snow flake falls
It's nightime in New York
It's nightime in New York
Good night snow flake

I really like this it hit the heart you did an awesome job on this!! It's beautiful and sometimes you gotta make the first move and go out in the world instead of sitting in isolation.

. wow ... that feeling of isolation is almost palpable ... and i remember a visit to the city many years ago ... your words bring alive the atmosphere ...
