Palentrease

Palentrease

A Poem by Davia Lynn Bradley
"

Written when my soul-mate broke up with me

"

Palentrease (Pain)
You cut me deep,
And I'm still bleeding,
I can't sleep,
My mind is pleading,
For my sweet release.
You ripped my heart out,
But it's still beating,
Full of doubt,
And hope that's fleeting,
For this pain to cease.
You took my breath away,
But I'm still breathing,
It's not okay,
My soul is grieving,
For my love's decease.
You loved me then,
But no longer,
Hurt yet again,
Now I've grown stronger,
Still I haven't found my peace.
Death is my sweet release,
Only then can I have peace.

This was pretty damned heartfelt and accurately gave the overall impression of how distraught you were over the break up. This was well done, I think, quite often we feel so bad over these sorts of things that we wish for nothing more than to feel no pain, it's a horrible feeling and I know it well - bloody women eh! Thanks for entering my contest and good luck!

It could be sad as a break-up or as the death of the loved one.
It's not the traditional heart break poem.
Nicely done.
I can feel the emotion and really relate to it.
Thanks.
