Vampire-Elf

Vampire-Elf

A Poem by Davia Lynn Bradley
"

based on Aiden Amon Galiec, a character of mine, and King of Vampire-Elves

"

Vampire-Elf
Blackened blood and crimson tears,
Emerald eyes and Elven ears,
Living on for years and years.
Loneliness and darker things,
Hate the love and pain it brings,
Listen to my broken wings.
As the years go by and by,
See no tears I will not cry,
For the pain it will not die.
Pale skin and eyes that glow,
Time will come and time will go,
As I bleed unto the snow.
Now you see I rise again,
Hurry now flee to our den,
Tell me how and tell me when.
Steady now you get some rest,
You fought well and maybe best,
I will kill those you detest.
Rise up from the weary bed,
I ignore what you have said,
For I know I am not dead.
Blackened blood and crimson tears,
Emerald eyes and Elven ears,
Living on for years and years.
It's who I am and what I do,
King of elves and vampires too,
 Live forever nothing new.

Well a vampire-elf is certainly an original thing for me as the two things are supposedly opposites to one another. Elves are one with nature and create beauty while vampires suck the life forces of humanoids. Nice poem too. I can see why you are so proud of your character.

This is a beautifully written poem on a neat original creature. The two races who symbolize opposites is extremely creative. It would make for a nice story. The form is well written and imagery is nice. I can see this blood brooding king in my mind. The opening and closing lines really make this piece. "Emerald Eyes and elevan ears; living on and on for years and years" Its what he does because he is the Vampire King. I really think that the emerald eyes is really neat. It not often you see a vampire with green eyes, but he's vampire of the forest.. Outstanding Job on this piece!
