Afraid of Love
Are you afraid?
Afraid of love?
Is that why?
Why you won't look me in the eye?
Why you more often speak with your hands?
Rather than say you love me aloud?
Why you don't do what I do?
When I love you?
Why you keep going away?
When I desire you most?
When my love bursts forth?
And I just wanna be close?
And you just look away?
Perhaps you are afraid...
Afraid of love...
But so am I.

I think love is just something people choose to be afraid of because today's version of love is far from reality. I daresay that nine tenths of couples will never experience love. If I may be so bold to say so, perhaps ninety nine one hundredths of people never will. Love is too distorted for recognition. Why are we afraid of love? Because it's no longer love.

I like your use of questions throughout. Each one is very telling of what kind of relationship this is describing. Then in the end when you said that are also afraid of love, it's like the whole thing is a circle, bending back on itself and then returning to the first point. The first question.

This is nice. It might be even more interesting if somehow you turned it into an acrostic. You should give that a shot. Then again, I love acrostics, so I imagine most of anything I read would be better as an acrostic...
