Tree

Tree

A Poem by David P Carroll
"

Tree

"
I sit under a tree
Homeless and hurt
No friends nobody
Cares about me I'm
Cold damp and alone
As I seek shelter under the
Tree I'm soaked head
To toe the rain falls on
Me nobody cares
No friends no help
Alone again like always
I'm weeping in the rain
Under the tree the
Rain washing the tears
Down my face
I hope someone would
Take notice of me
Nobody does nobody
Cares about me I'm
Cold damp wet and painful
I'm saddened by life
Nobody has a caring
Heart anymore to help
Me from this nightmare
I never asked for this
Pain I want it to go away
Now and wake up
And be me again never cold
And never alone I sit under
The tree wet sad damp
An illness has set in
Only wishing to myself
I had a friend for comfort
But nobody cares about me
Life is changed I'm old
Sick lonely hurt the
Crying every night under
This dam tree
A flu sets in
I'm dying of coldness
And loneliness only wish
I had one friend to tell I love
Him in life but not to be
Because it's me
My heart my pain is serious
Because nobody cares about me
I'm alone again
under this damp cold dam
Tree.
