Haiku #1

Haiku #1

A Poem by DaveLewis
"

Three haiku from my latest book.

"
Virginia creeper
painting rust
on the old grey locomotive

"Pia mater, dura mater"
the clouds above my head
a trillion molecules of consciousness

killed by next door’s cat
while looking for worms -
The blackbird

Each one of these is awesome and great. The first one, Virginia creeper, about the rust that will take hold on the locomotive, representing the rust that will take hold of all objects of history in our lifetime, I really loved that!

The "trillion molecules of consciousness" was by far my favorite line from all tree because it's so relatable. beautiful image of what hangs above our heads (not only in the clouds, but our thoughts!)
