Apogee

Apogee

A Poem by Moving Mass

What will I do now?
I want to be free,
yet I am found in uncertainty;
to find peace in sadness,
to rejoice in war.
Intrusive thoughts oft' hide at my core.

I feel black raindrops on my head.
I see red puddles: my hope is dead.
But where will I go from here?
You've left me alone in this fray.
Death, life: It's all the same fear:
Twilight skies to Dorian Gray.

Remorse? No, revenge and apprehension.
All right you b*****d, you have my attention.
For years you've given me this rising tension.
You are a symbol of mine own retention.

My pain has been at it's apogee,I've felt only agony.
But despite my perception, I'll set you free.
And as I grieve, take your leave Deception.

For now, I can see.
