After such a long time of looking,

I finally found you.

It was hard to let go,

But I went whatever direction the wind blew.

I never believed you were truly gone,

Even though the evidence was clear.

I won't admit it,

But it revealed my biggest fear.

You were the best thing about me,

and without you, I wasn't much.

I continued to dream about your eyes,

and your gentle touch.

The first few days were rough,

but soon a week, and then two,

was all just too much.

It didn't take long to desperately realize I missed you.

But now I've found you,

and we don't have to spend any more time apart.

They don't believe me when I say you were never gone,

but the truth was, you were always in my heart.
