"

Ending to ch 2: Sam gets into the car and his friends are missing. a distress message is written in blood on the backseat reading "Help Us! I only have one life..."

"

Staring in horror at the back seat, Sam started to shake. He looked from the vacant spots where Dorothy and Zack once were back to the demon munchkin still sitting upon his lap. The demon munchkin was grotesque with its bashed in skull, blood shot red eyes, and sharp rotted teeth.

“Demon munchkins have nine lives. You only have one.” The demon munchkin giggled.

Its eyes glistened with blood lust as it stared into Sam’s terror filled eyes. In a poor attempt to get the creature off his lap, Sam tried to stand up. He hit his head on the ceiling and dropped with a thump. The demon munchkin giggled, amused with Sam’s fright.

“I want you, Sam. There’s no escaping me.” It said in a bone chilling voice.

Sam’s eyes widened and tears rolled down his cheeks. There was no getting out of the car. He was going to die there. Or so he thought. Out of nowhere, the demon munchkin was thrown out of the car by an unknown force. As it lied on the street, motionless, Sam climbed out of the car.

“Damned b*****d” a voice said from behind Sam.

As he turned around, he saw Dorothy standing there with blood staining her clothes. There appeared to be a gash on her forehead that was bleeding badly.

“What the hell happened to you?!” Sam asked staring in horror, “You like disappeared back there! …Wait, where’s Zack?”

Dorothy walked up next to Sam, her eyes fixed on the demon munchkin, who still hadn’t moved from the street. She breathed heavily as she waited for it to move. When several moments of stillness passed, she looked at Sam.

“We were ambushed. God, there’s more of those damned b******s. They tried taking Zack and me away somewhere. I’m not sure exactly, but it can’t be good. I attacked one of them while it wasn’t looking. Zack did the same. We ran, but…” Dorothy looked down at her hands, covered in blood. They were shaking uncontrollably.

“They took him, Sam. They took Zack.”

Sam looked to Dorothy, then to the demon munchkin, still motionless on the street, “God damn it. So now what?”

Dorothy and Sam looked to each other. The wind blew Dorothy’s hair back with such a force that she stumbled a bit. Chuckling slowly grew from in front of the two friends. They turned their heads unhurriedly towards where the munchkin had landed, to see it was gone.

Singing slowly started to grow from all around them, “One, two: munchkins coming for you. Three, four: Better run some more. Five, six: You can’t hide from this. Seven, eight: Better stay up late. Nine, ten: Be afraid my friend…”

Sam and Dorothy franticly searched all around them for the demon munchkin, but it was nowhere in sight. Rain started to fall and the sky grew dark. With each worried glance Sam and Dorothy took, lightning struck the ground.

“You can’t escape us,” the demon munchkin called out from nowhere.

Dorothy and Sam looked to each other, and then around them for a means of runaway. They were completely barricaded in the street, except for a whole opening, in which the demon munchkin stood. Dorothy glared at the damned b*****d and spat on the ground next to her, tasting the blood in her mouth. She wasn’t about to get captured, not again.

“Sam when I give you the signal, get the f**k out of here!” she said while glaring at the monstrous creature blocking their one way to freedom.

Sam looked to Dorothy horrified, “What?! Are you MENTAL?! It will EAT you!”

"Now!" Dorothy screamed as she ran towards the demon.

Sam stared in horror, "You're crazy!"

As Dorothy advanced on the creature, her pase quickened. Anger took over her thoughts. Sam watched in shock as Dorothy grabbed the munchkin by its hair and flung it like a frisbee.

"Sam, c'mon!" she yelled.

He snapped to his senses and chased after her, in fear of what would happen if he were to stay.

"How did you do that?" He asked amazed.

Dorothy gripped her hand, "Oh, you know..."

Blood dripped through her fingers. Sam looked behind them and then to her, "You look sick. It bit you, didn't it?"

"I'll be alright..."

"No," Sam said, "You've lost too much blood, you can't keep this up...they'll catch us..."

Dorothy looked to her friend, "We have no choice."

As Sam opened his mouth giggling surrounded them. They froze in fear.

"You can run, children. But you can never hide..."
