IvyA Poem by DaughterNatureIvy’s not discriminating, Despite what we’ve been told. Not only does it deign to grow On colleges of old, But also on the warehouses That lurk against the docks, And also on the forest floor Among the logs and rocks.
Ivy’s not pretentious, Despite what you may know; It clings unto the mortar ‘Gainst storms of rain or snow, And shrivels in the sunlight Of summer’s brightest day. I know that where the ivy grows It never goes away. © 2014 DaughterNatureReviews
