A*S

A*S

A Poem by DaughterNature

Are you a professional A*S?

My answer would have to be “yes.”

“Profession,” it’s said,

is what’s done to get paid,

and so my ASSertion’s true:

it’s my definition of you.

Why did I do what I did?

I guess it’s ‘cause I’m just a kid.

I’ve done what you need

by my personal creed,

but now my A*S-kissing’s through,

and I can write bluntly of you.

And what did I get for my pains?

That’s something that no one explains.

Did not get my due,

so now I hate you.

ASSertive I should have been,

but you’re just so selfish and mean.

And now you can tell, I guess:

I think you’re a total A*S!

DaughterNature
Sorry about the graphic wording. I wrote this in high school about my most immature and unappreciative teacher, so I had a lot of anger.

So much frustration, but it is good that you can let it out because having to bottle it up can do harm. Nice write.

You can tell this is autobiographical, even if this is old it's very funny! I definitely identify with the frustration you were feeling too.

You seem to have enlarged your mentors’ assiduity to an astronomical aspect ratio within this well structured poem of yours.
