Ch.12: Playing Games

William's POV

        I yell in pain, chained up still, and look at the vampire I don't know, as I breathe hard from the pain.

        "Go to hell, you b*****d."

        I growl at him, as I vamp out.

Katherine's POV

        When I find out that Will has been taken and find out from Klaus about the message on the wall, I realize who it is. Angel must've recently lost his soul, because only his counterpart would play games. Luckily, I know him well enough that I can go by myself without backup, because Angel and I have been friends for a while. I doubt Angelus, the part of him without a soul, would ever hurt me. 

        A while later, I find out where they are. It's a building with a basement, but even a normal vampire can hear Will in pain. I don't rush though, despite wanting to, knowing that Angelus wouldn't dare kill someone I care about or love. 

        When I enter, Angelus is using a knife to make Will's chest bleed, having fun I assume. 

        "You can stop with the torture, Angelus. I'm here now," I say. 

        Angelus stops and turns to look at me. 

        "Well, well. Took you long enough, my friend," he replied. 

        "Kill Will here and we won't be friends, so let him go," I reply. 

        After a moment, he says, "Very well then," and unchains him. 

        I go over and help Will up and then stand a distance away from Angelus, looking at him. 

        "You know, if you want to kill, I can give you a list, but leave everyone else alone. Maybe in the past I saw Klaus as an enemy, but we're no longer enemies, so leave him out of this. I know it's you that gave him that message."

        "Fine. Suit it yourself. I'll get rid of whoever you want me to. Then I'll leave. I just wanted to see an old friend. Maybe mess with an enemy and a few friends of yours first," he replies.
