VD/OUAT crossover: Former Lovers In An Unlikely Town

Summary: Set after VD S7 but the thing getting Damon and Enzo in the vault didn’t happen. Katherine is able to use the ascendant to finally get out of the prison world she was trapped in with Kai after Damon killed him to save Bonnie, but when she ends up in Storybrooke, she’s quite injured. Damon suddenly gets transported to Storybrooke a moment after Katherine. When Damon sees Katherine, will he leave her to die from her injuries, or will he save her? What will ensue between them? What will happen between them and the residents of Storybrooke?

            It was a nebulous night, as Damon stood in the middle of an unfamiliar road. He had been minding his own business, when he’d suddenly appeared here. He saw that the sign said Storybrooke, which was ironic, considering he was a vampire; a supernatural creature. Then he saw on the side of the road on the shoulder, an injured and human again Katherine. She was lying on her side, pale, clearly having lost a lot of blood. He could tell that she had gone through hell in a prison world, considering the ascendant that was lightly in her hand still; a prison world they had sent her to, although they had thought that she had gone to hell for all her sins. Figuring that he owed her due to having tormented her on her deathbed, he went over and knelt at her side. He then put the ascendant in his jacket and looked down at her.

            “Katherine?” he called to her. “Can you hear me?”

            When he didn’t get an answer or movement, he pulled the arrow out and gently got her on her back and bit his wrist. He put it to her lips, making his blood go down her throat, taking a chance. As he did, he pulled the knife out of her thigh.

            “Come on, Katherine. You’re not dying tonight. Not while I’m here,” he said, as his blood went down her throat and soon began to heal her. He sighed in relief. “That a girl,” he encouraged, though he didn’t think she could hear him; at least not yet.

            When her wounds had healed, she began to wake up.

            A few minutes later, when she came to, she saw Damon knelt by her. She also realized that she was on her back on a road and healed of her injuries.

            She slowly sat up.

            “Where are we?? What are we doing here?” she questioned.

            He got to his feet and helped her to hers.

            “I don’t know what the hell we’re doing here, but according to the sign, we’re in Storybrooke,” he answered her.

            “Well I’ve never heard of this town. Have you?” she inquired.

            “Nope. Never,” he replied.

            “Then let’s go find out what we can and find out why we’re here.”

            She started walking down the road and he walked at her side.

             Once in town, they made their way to Granny’s Diner, where they sat down in a booth and ordered some food and Bourbon; food for her and just Bourbon for him.

            A few minutes after they had finished eating and their dishes had been collected, a boy sat across from them, looking excited.

            “Hi, I’m Henry,” he said excitedly.

            Kat gave him a smile. “I’m Katherine. This is Damon,” she introduced.

            “Nice to meet you two. What fairytale are you?”

            “We’re no fairytales, boy,” Damon said.

            “Our world exists with everything supernatural and paranormal,” she explained.

            “Cool!” Henry said.

            “It can be,” she agreed. “Damon’s a vampire and I’m a human that was cured of being a vampire unwillingly,” she explained.

            He opened the book and started scanning until he found their stories. Then he looked at them both.

            “Well you may not be fairytales, but you’re in the book now. It’s magical. Every time someone ends up here, their story magically appears in the book,” he explained.

            “Interesting,” Damon commented.

            “Well this is all interesting and all and it’s neat that they all actually exist, but it’s been a long night. We need a place to stay,” Kat said, believing everything Henry had told them and had hinted.

            “If you ask Granny, she’ll give you a room or two to stay in,” Henry informed them.

            Kat watched the boy leave, before she and Damon went and got a room from Granny.

             Once they entered the room and had closed the door, they saw that there was only one bed in the room.

            “We should’ve gotten two rooms,” Damon commented.

            “Well it’s not like we’ve never slept in the same bed before,” Kat commented.

            She layed down in bed and he layed next to her. And almost as soon as her head his the pillow, she fell asleep, in which Damon followed suit an hour later.

             The next day, after they had eaten and had been introduced to everyone, they went to a store for some necessities. Katherine needed some clothes and both of them needed other necessities too. Then, afterward, they went back to their room.

             Months later, after making friends with everyone, they fell back into love and decided to stay in Storybrooke.
