Ch.13: Underworld Rescue

        Once in the underworld, Rumple went to his shop, grabbing a vial, and then went to the cemetery, which was where he found both of their graves. He sprinkled it onto Katherine’s to find out where she was. He imagined that they were together, so he didn’t think he needed to sprinkle it onto his to find out where he was. Plus, he cared a greater deal about Katherine than he did for the hybrid. When he found out from her where she was, he then made a plan to get her rescued. She was being guarded by Cerberus, the three-headed underworld dog. Hades’ pet, which he seemed to care about. He knew Hades from the last time he’d been in the underworld. There’d been a time once upon a time that he’d died, after all.

        Kat awoke in the dungeon that had cells without bars, once again, after she’d been summoned by Rumple to find out where she was. They were both in the underworld, but she wasn’t in as bad of a shape as he was. She was smart enough not to try escaping. She was human, so she knew she wouldn’t be able to escape without supernatural help. Although he was an Original, the underworld was different. Whatever type of bite Cerberus had wasn’t good, considering how he looked.

        Kat went and knelt by him, where he lay in the hallway. The place had just a long hallway of cells without bars. At the end of the hallway, it was all dark and looked like a cave. She imagined that’s where the three-headed dog was. She knew enough about mythology to know about the famous guard dog.

        “Katerina,” he stated, when he saw her.

        “Rumple’s down here. He’s going to get us out of here,” she told him.

        She rested a hand on the side of his face.

        Eventually, Rumple found them. Then, once he figured out a way to save the hybrid, they got on a scheduled boat back to Storybrooke. Everything had worked out wonderfully, so they were then welcomed back to the land of the living.

        After a while longer, Kat and Regina finally found a way to get Snow and Charming back, so everyone was reunited. Then they found a way to get back home, so Kat and Klaus left Storybrooke, and Kat joined Klaus in ruling New Orleans. Rebekah eventually forgave Klaus for what he’d done to Marcel back in Storybrooke too, so everyone got a happy ending. Everyone else in Storybrooke got a happy ending too, with Regina and Robin having a kid together, as well as Rumple and Belle having a child as well. And so, all of their stories got happy endings.
