Ch.5: Child of the Moon

        It was a beautiful day, as Kat entered the kitchen of Granny's Diner. Having been here long enough, she'd gotten to know everyone. Who they really were, rather than who they were under Regina's former curse. Because they knew each other so well, she was able to go wherever she wanted. So, when she entered the kitchen, she was a little astonished at what Granny and Ruby were doing, even though she knew what Ruby was.

        "What are you doing?" she asked.

        "Building a cage," Ruby informed her.

        "Why? I thought you had the wolf under control," she replied.

        "It's the first time in twenty-eight years that it's going to be wolf's night tonight. I don't know where my cape is that controls me, so this is the only way to make sure I don't hurt anyone."

        "You should've asked me then. I've got plenty of experience with werewolves. I even dated one quite a few years ago. All you really need is a jail cell and some chains. Unless you're a hybrid, you can't break out of chains," she informed her. "I think I know where to get some chains, too. And if it makes you feel any better, I can even put a protection spell around the cell," she replied.

        Ruby liked that idea, so she agreed.

        Later, right before it was dark out, Kat locked Ruby in a cell with chains on her wrists. She then put a protection spell up and even stayed there to make sure nothing went wrong. Because of this, Ruby never got out until it was the next day when Kat let her back out. Then, afterward, Ruby was able to finally find her cape.
