My four Berries and Summer

My four Berries and Summer

A Poem by Basit Majeed

A little berry tree with marvels to show...
Four snow clad flowers waiting for glow…
The air so cold like some fury to unfold…
The blows too heavy and it’s difficult to withhold….
But the courage stands still for it has its own thrill…
Like a white little panda shaking its fur…
There stands my tree with four little berries waiting for summer…

The days have passed and nights so still…
When the glistening full moon passes its own will…
I see such hope and strengthening paranoia…
For one little flower keeping all hopes in order…
They are my symbols of endless retreat…
For they believe in summer and will be sweet…

Dreams are harder to tail, Emotions can never be frail…
Thoughts can never be unreasonable and dawn is always fashionable…
Minds don’t mind to enjoy the endless supper…
And I look at my berry tree always waiting for summer…
My beautiful gleaming flowers will never be at unrest…
For they have shown summer an ample lot of respect…
Trials that they faced, Fliers that they raked…
For love was always shown to the guests who were always being traced…
Such care and compassion in no man’s land…
As if redeeming the honor for which they always craved…
They shed their tears and let themselves wither…
As if the soul parting its body in search of summer…

The endless break may seem too fake…
The trust set upon may try to shake…
The world is an Arena for all to make mistakes…
With the glittering light you will come in spite…
And my dreaming eyes will be the first to sight…
Passionately, I will be standing next to my tree…
And all four jewels revealed for you to see…
Lavishly, I want the joyful embrace to last forever…
Be sure there will be Me, My Berry tree and four little berries waiting for Summer…

A lovely piece, which flows very smoothly, despite the size of the verse :)
