An Version of "Because I could not stop for Death": Because I COULD stop for DeathA Poem by Darth Mulligeinyes it is could not could not on purpose not on accidentBecause I could stop for
death He decided to surprise
me My mother’s Prius
held us And our Immortality With speed he drove And I didn’t put anything
away Just relaxing on my phone For he didn’t seem to
care We drove passed Gerome
place Spoon people all
about We passed my school Teens all around His clothes were dark Roughened with age Mine were bright - But fading As every second passed We arrived where we
were going And to my surprise It wasn’t a cemetery But a ditch - clearly
no one cared It has felt like
forever But it has just been a day Maybe one day they
will find me And move me to a grave © 2019 Darth Mulligein |
