Why did you awaken him? 

A demon hidden deep within

memories flow from my eyes

like rain form the sky 

at the very mention of your name.

Dead memories buried in my heart 

of a love lost and gone. 

Facing the monster I have feared 

since the day you left. 

Wondering why I am so miserable 

without you by my side. 

Realizing the monster I was 

while we were one. 

I gave you everything and 

you gave me the world.

Yet we failed each other 

at this game call love.

Confronting the beast I 

wanted to avoid.

Fighting a loosing battle 

a war within has gone wrong.

I understand the feeling of the one left alone but still loving at all...found comfort through living in good memories...but once the one who left comes back, the wound becomes fresh again.
