My Wish

This one was written a long time ago after a breakup with a real serious girlfriend.

How I wish you were here 

so I could stare in to your 

eyes and know its okay. 

Missing you is the worst.

Knowing how I hurt you 

is a pain I wish no to bare. 

To see you in so much pain

tears me apart inside.

Hearing your voice brings 

back so many memories. 

Memories of our life that 

we built together as one. 

Your picture cuts through 

me like a knife in my chest. 

Wishing I could take it all way 

knowing that I can not stop it. 

Regretting the life we lead together 

maybe its for the best us being 

apart away from each other. 

Still loving the nightmare of 

a life that we lead. 

Wishing we could go back 

and not hurt one another. 

Your love to me was like 

a poison in my veins. 

Yet I sit here and wonder 

why I wish you were here.
