His Blood Is On My HandsA Poem by Eric DarsieA poem I wrote after listening to a sermon on Luke 20:9-18.His Blood Is On My Hands
All my anger, all my jealousy, All my bitterness, all my lies, My broken promises and my selfishness, My lustful heart and my unpure intentions, That’s what He died for. The great news is, He died for you too. He is Jesus Christ, The Son of God, the Creator of the Universe. God the Son showed us how to live In this wicked, fallen world. Our cornerstone that our foundation is built on, We’ll never fall again. Turning away from our sin And turning towards Him"He gets the glory. The greatest exchange ever to happen He died and received our wrath We captured His perfect reward If we let Him be the Lord of our life. No matter what you’ve done, Or where you’ve been, Even though it was us that nailed Him there, He loves us unconditionally, Always forever and another additional day to© 2011 Eric Darsie |
