Missing You, My Friend

Missing You, My Friend

A Poem by Eric Darsie

Missing You, My Friend

I’m here without you

Memories tuck me in bed

Of us, together, then

Makes me smile during the day

But I cry myself to sleep

Here missing you.

Times we’ve had

Together, my friend

Passed us by

It didn’t wait for us

To say goodbye.

I miss you

I want you to come back

Can you, please?

Unlimited supply of hugs

And the inside jokes we share.

Memories hold me down

Brings me up when I’m blue

Please come back

I love you.
