Mellow Yellow

Mellow Yellow

A Poem by Eric Darsie

A "hymn" to one of my favorite drinks.

Mellow Yellow

They call you "mellow yellow"
While you're neither mellow nor yellow
Smooth tastin'
Smooth while dranken
Kiss stealin', if you allow
Simply ravishing
Shake, rattle, and rollin' in our green
Rude awakening in the morning
Slap in our face in the evening
Best to do the dew in the afternoon
Some don't like your kind
Tad addicting if we allow you to do so
You have slick back hair
Round and thick in the middle
A lot like me
You do wear a lot of yellow
Dashing red and green in your shirt
Bottom's up then you come back down
Breaking the code?
You're a part of the Coca-Cola family.
