Asking Her, Maybe?

Asking Her, Maybe?

A Poem by Eric Darsie
"

A little snapshot into my mind about asking someone (maybe) whom I like (or could still like).

"

Asking Her, Maybe?

Scared at that I’m about to do

Nervous because I have no clue

On how she feels or what she thinks

About us, even as friends

“Philosophy and such” I said

Even though that’s not all

Moment of truth is about to be

Judgment day, gut check, will I succeed?

Here we go… 5… 4… three… too… won….?

Be a man, Hulk; don’t be scarred

Running from Macho, that’s what I heard[1]

I didn’t ask

Reason is December

December I remember

You’ll be gone

Maybe overseas

You did say

The man will wait for you

Would I be up for that?

To be the man?

God placed you on my hear, in my site

Since mid-March

Feelings haven’t faded

What should I do?

Only question I have left is…

Will you be mine?
