Cold November Rain

Cold November Rain

A Poem by Eric Darsie
"

An experience that brought me back to Him.

"

Cold November Rain

It was a cold November rain

That fell upon me that lonely dark night

Hard conversation I was placed in

Embarrassed and battered from me choosing wrong

Putting back to right was their reasoning

Living a God-Centered Life, once again

Losing my swagger to style and profile

Because my fleshy desires were in control

Next day filled with seeking forgiveness

And solid ground to build back up, for His glory

Feeling alone outside in the cold, hard rain

The cold November rain never felt so harsh.

Confused, don’t know how I got off my way

To bring Him much glory, I am for Him

Lost my way, needing to lay low,

Search for the Light, the Truth, the Way

After months of being in the Truth

I finally started to come back, how sweet it was

Cold November Rain, how harsh you were

Almost a year has came and went

I still remember the painful rain drops that came down

Wounded my flesh, either way the wind blows.

Changed from the inside out

Changed from that Cold November Rain.
