For the UnderappreciatedA Poem by Eric DarsieA poem for those who feel under-appreciated at work. Wrote this one because I often feel this way.For the Underappreciated
Sometimes life ain’t what it ought to be Things bend unfairly for others benefit You bust yours to have a decent livin’ While they have it easier than they should Favorites tend to screw you up No matter how things really are That’s the way the cards are dealt Always some trick behind your back This one’s for the underappreciated The one who gets held down unfairly Thanks for your hard work And keep doing what you do If it wasn’t for all of us The foundation would crumble to the core underneath We’re the people who keep this machine a going No matter what the man sees or knows Our pain fuels us forward The hard work becomes our paycheck Through the sweat and sore bodies Weekends become sweeter still © 2013 Eric Darsie |
