InvictusA Poem by James Darrow
Beneath my feet lay my enemy
He was struck down and died With his end comes serenity For all of those who are justified ~-~ His rise to power earned by those he charmed With great power he fell His road filled with families whom he harmed Many sons on their death knell ~-~ With his tyranny gone The sun shall shine For his evil begone This victory is mine ~-~ My battle is won and done To my home and family I ride In my home amongst my loved ones My family awaits me by their side ~-~ Homes will be rebuilt, fields renewed Ashes no longer stain my sight Hopes will come true, for this day is new Now, there is nothing but light © 2011 James DarrowAuthor's Note
