I survived my school

I survived my school

A Story by Alicia Richey
"

All teens should know about this, expecially the ones who went to my high school.

"

Some thousands of students were in my face everyday.

It was like traffic on I-20 and I'm yelling "Get out my way"

So many wanna-be's and about-to-be's were running around trying to be...

...an unfit world of personalities

Called themselves gangs and cliques and crews,

but some were not paying their dues.

My four years of high school was very static.

Fights I walked away from, moved around some.

Riots went on while I was in class.

Hair weaves and purses, solemn curses in the air.

The poor horses were just cold and naked without their hair.

The many voices mixed right with wrong.

The messed up drama that kept going on.

The sickness and the pregnancies.

The trapped fathers and their careless needs.

But I graduated in May 2008 and I'm going to college, but not in the fall.

Got scholarships and grants to look for, I want them all.

I survived McNair, guess what, I'm having a ball.

Because I'm glad to say that I survived it all!!!!!!!!
