Shadow

Shadow

A Poem by Alicia Richey
"

It's not about the dark spot that's on the ground in front of you, but it's something similar to that

"

I wish I had a shadow that I can call my own

But about right now, my shadow is gone

Many people have extra shadows around them everyday

And I ask you to let one of your shadows come my way.

Rewind<<<<<<<<<extra shadows are followers

They are absent of leading, they have role models

Some leaders have extra shadows who kiss up

Not stating many names, but I know many

I barely see my real shadow when it comes and goes

But like I said before

I wish I had a shadow that I can call my own

But about right now, my shadow is gone
