Falling Skies

The skies are going to fall, where we will you be when they do?

They came in ships

They're reasons were unknown.

Peace wasn't an option,

We tried our best,

But war was inevitable.

We weren't prepared,

We were never prepared.

They annihilated us,

The Mechs and Skitters

Killed our fighters and took our children.

They drove us back and back,

Never giving us a chance to recover.

But now they've stopped

And now it's our turn.

It's time we struck back

And made them pay for invading our planet.

Long live the Resistance!

If the sky falls I would cry and run arouns scraed but other then that the poem was cool. what's cool if you mean it literal as a falling sky you would think that the sky was the same thing you were talking about in the poem. :)

Nice poem...It has a fitting title to it...Seems like something a leader of a country would say...It also seems like it is the intro to something bigger and better like a upcoming war, which sounds epic! Time to get that revenge!
