A Poem by Hunter DeLacy
"

This is my 1st real attempt to write a poem which focused on rhyming and could later be converted into a song

"
The sunset desolves down symbiotic vistas,
I truly miss her, and my sister,
Like the pitch of the captivating enlister,
I took the plunge, reached out, and kissed her,

I wish that life were prompted to reverse,
Just being, no longer with need to converse,
The crestfallen masses began to disperse,
As their aspirations were removed via herse,

Cast adrift in solitude, will you find me,
I piece together memories, to remind me,
My adversaries prowl incisions behind me,
While others still hoping, sit beside me,

The message emmits its solem query,
Though I cannot percieve it clearly,
Am i here or am i nearly,
Questions answered so sincerely,

Can one gaze on the ocean of time,
To see all that will be, a paradigm,
Performed reconnaissance on distant waves,
Is this how you will soon behave,

Cast adrift in solitude, will you find me,
I piece together memories, to remind me,
My adversaries prowl incisions behind me,
While others still hoping, sit beside me.

Disaster as the clock strikes eight,
Lunacy & someone game to contemplate,
Is this purely chance or misguided fate,
That drives tribes and coverns to assimilate,

Call attention to your spectre,
Death has come, twisted collecter,
Sunken scholar, see charts and vectors,
Are you afraid, pursue protectors,

Cast adrift in solitude, will you find me,
I piece together memories, to remind me,
My adversaries prowl incisions behind me,
While others still hoping, sit beside me,

In the leagues beneath us, stillness shatters,
Shifts the scenes, as nothing matters,
Not unlike the fluctuating reality of hatters,
Express yourself through humble satires,

The snare drum sparks to life,
Producing a kick that cuts like a knife,
Procussion's discussion, revels in mock strife,
The marriage of oscillation, silence its' wife.

Cast adrift in solitude, will you find me,
I piece together memories, to remind me,
My adversaries prowl incisions behind me,
While others still hoping, sit beside me,

The lighthouse groaned, entropy persevered,
The tempest roared and lightning cheered,
Its' lone occupant shook, then peered,
It looked as if it was all was as he feared,

& so it became, all that was, again was gone,
The world once more greeted the dawn,
From this moment on all else will spawn,
As we struggle onwards towards babylon.
