Belonging

Belonging

A Poem by Hunter DeLacy
"

This poem I wrote after I disconnected with someone who was like a sister to me.This was due to her new relationship and my inability at the time to care about myself.

"
Why not set sail on your path?
Follow your passions and reflect that joy back, pure, it's purpose incarnate.

Enchanted, independent, glowing in solidarity,
consider leaving reason by the roadside,
what would you do if there was no need to do a thing ?
Do you need to do anything?

Melancholy is the opposite of connection,
Derived from a sense of inadequacy,
while adventure is both discovery and tribulation,
conceiving understanding through empathy.

There is no intermission, just a continuation of beginning,
nothing is ever finished,
merely reborn through the moment,
Reincarnation when the clockshand revolves,
Dissecting the singular stillness.

Change is eternal and time it's ruler.
Learn to love yourself in every aspect.
Do you truly believe that you should view yourself in others expectations?
In the now, you are always the best you could ever be,
Thank you so much for shinning your unparalleled brilliance to the rest of creation, there will never be anything it's equal again.
