I'M A WRECK

I'M A WRECK

A Poem by darkside14
"

Asking for her forgiveness and need her back

"
I'm A wreck
I'm a wreck without you
I've messed it up to many times
If I could turn back time
God knows I would do things differently

I'm a wreck,
A wreck because I love you
A wreck because I can't hold you no more
A wreck because you don't trust me no more
A wreck because I don't know where we stand anymore
I'm a wreck

I'm wreck
A wreck in love with you
A wreck longing for your touch
A wreck begging for your forgiveness
A wreck seeking for your attention.
I'm a wreck. A wreck all because you mean the world to me
A wreck all because I want you back
A wreck all because I need just one more chance
Promise this time to treasure it all
Because without you Babe I'm a wreck

I absolutely love this and think this is so powerful! My favorite lines were "I'm a wreck/ I'm a wreck because I love you..." I feel that line alone describes the whole piece. We fall in love and once we slip up, we do whatever we can to get that special person back...if we don't have them, we don't feel anything, can''t feel anything but numb. We lose all sense of self when they aren't with us...mentally or physically. But I know how this can be...my ex recently began ignoring me and I have no idea why. I've been calling and texting him, but soon realized that perhaps I need to forget about him and move on with my life. It's so difficult because I am so used to talking with him nearly every day, telling him I love him and miss him. How badly I wish to see him...it hurts when I can't be in touch with him. He means the world to me and is the only guy I ever told I loved. It's so difficult, but things take time to put themselves back together...to make things right. I also adored how you put the truth out there for both her and most importantly, for yourself. In order to fix things sometimes, we have to admit when we are wrong, when we've messed up...I congratulate you on this confession. It must have taken a lot of courage to write.
