Whatever it takesA Poem by James D StorringtonInspiration for something hits at the oddest moments.... This IS NOT to be taken seriously, I wrote it for fun.Theres a point here, That I feel I should make I Won't be a poet "Whatever it takes"
You see, I don't know alot about rhythm, or rhyme Honestly... Before now I didn't have the time......
So I won't be a poet "Whatever it takes" Yes I know, Already... I've made some mistakes
My heart lies in fiction or Sci-fi, or fun...... But sometimes - Just sometimes There's nowhere to run!
Sometimes you get challenged by doubters who say - "You can't write poetry, You're RUBBISH.... OK!"
Its then when I think 'Just F**k off & die....' 'Spin on it assmunch, I'll give it a try'
So THIS poem's your fault - You knew that I would... Why even bother to doubt if I could?
I know, I should be careful, This part might not run.... when you do this its serious but I do this for fun!
But hey, Look - don't worry.... This one drags like wood (?) - whats the worst that could happen? I make your poems look good?!
I know I can't be a poet "Whatever it takes" There's just too many rules that are easy to break. © 2011 James D Storrington |
